What does it take to become a member?

Join ITE

Membership in OSITE is directly tied to your membership in ITE international. When you sign up to join ITE under an address within the region of the Ozarks Section, you are automatically included as a member of OSITE. For more information on becoming a member of ITE, click the following link:

OSITE organizes several local events throughout the year for transportation professionals and students to network with one another and learn about local developments in the transportation industry. To get your name and email added to our priority mailing list, reach out to one of our Board Members. Once we have your contact info you will be notified of all future OSITE events, local developments in the transportation industry, and even local job announcements.

Membership Grades

Member

Any Institute member who resides within the geographic Section area and who is in good standing within the MOVITE Section are eligible for Section membership.

Any Institute member residing outside the geographic Section area is eligible for Section membership by obtaining approval of the Section Board of Direction.

Section Affiliate

Persons residing within geographic Section area and who fall into one or more of the following classifications may be affiliated with the Section as Section Affiliates:

  1. Persons who are not eligible to be voting members of the Institute but who are accumulating experience toward Institute membership, or
  2. Students in a recognized engineering school, or
  3. Persons who are professionally engaged in related fields, or
  4. Persons in sub-professional work in transportation or traffic engineering, or
  5. Persons who are in a position to work with and assist transportation and traffic engineers by virtue of official positions or commercial employment
All applications for Section Affiliates by a student shall be certified by a faculty member at the school attended by the applicant.

Section Honorary Member

Section Honorary Membership can be granted at the discretion of the Section’s Board of Direction to persons who are retired and such other criteria as determined by the board.
