It's time for our annual OSITE bowling tourney!
We will be meeting at Enterprise Park Lanes (1625 S. Enterprise Avenue)
Check in is at 5:30 and the games start at 6:00!
Don't forget to bring some extra cash for the raffle that goes to support the scholarship fund!
You can sign up individually or with a team (4-person max). Either way we'll find a place for you!
It is only $30 per person - feel free to bring cash or check on the 28th!

The MSU Student Transportation Project Presentation are planned to be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 at the Transportation Management Center of the Ozarks (1107 W Chestnut Expy). As an engineering professional, your role is to listen to each teams’ presentation and grade each project to crown 2023 CE3500 Class Champions, as well as network with up-and-coming engineering professionals. As always, pizza and refreshments will be provided at no cost to students or professionals. Please come to support our students!

Our next scheduled business meeting will be held at the Springfield-Branson National Airport
(located at 2300 N Airport Boulevard).
Mark your calendars for Thursday, May 18th from 11:30-1:00PM.
Airport staff will be briefing us on airport operations and offering a tour of the facility (lunch is also provided). Cost to attend is $15 for members and $20 for non-members. As always, the meeting is free for students.

About The Ozarks Section
OSITE is the Ozarks Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). ITE is the international professional society for persons engaged in the planning, design, and operation of streets, highways, and other transportation facilities. The section is open to all professionals and students involved in the transportation industry around the Ozarks. The Missouri Valley Section of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (MOVITE) chartered OCITE on February 5, 2003. OCITE began with 21 charter members and has now grown to more than 100 members. The area designated as that of OSITE is the twenty-four (24) Missouri counties in Southwest Missouri including Vernon, Barton, Jasper, Newton, McDonald, Cedar, Dade, Lawrence, Barry, Polk, Greene, Stone, Christian, Taney, Dallas, Webster, Douglas, Ozark, Wright, Laclede, Pulaski, Texas, Howell, and Phelps.
In 2020, OCITE officially became a Section under directive from ITE and has now become the Ozarks Section of the ITE (OSITE).
The purpose of the chapter is to:
• Advance the objectives of the Institute of Transportation Engineers;
• Foster closer association of Institute members;
• Encourage members to prepare or discuss papers;
• Prepare suggestions on matters of policy to the Board of Direction of the Institute of Transportation Engineers;
• Consider local transportation and traffic engineering problems;
• Cooperate with other local engineering groups on matters of common interest;
• Present the transportation and traffic engineering point of view consistent with established Institute of Transportation Engineers policies; and
• Encourage the introduction of transportation and traffic engineering courses in colleges, universities, and technical schools in the Chapter.
